Privacy notice

Last updated: 20 October 2026

1. Scope and controller

This notice covers personal data processed when you visit sylvara.ch, use its enquiry form, contact us by email or use shop.sylvara.ch. The controller is:

MyCrowd GmbH
c/o EXPERFINA AG
Picassoplatz 8
4052 Basel
Schweiz / Switzerland / Suisse
info@mycrowd.ch

2. Applicable law and purposes

We observe the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and its ordinance. Where the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) also applies to particular processing, we observe its requirements as well. We process data to provide and protect the website and shop, answer enquiries, prepare quotations, fulfil orders and meet legal obligations. Where the GDPR applies, the relevant bases are pre-contractual steps or performance of a contract (Article 6(1)(b)), legal obligations (c), legitimate interests in secure operations and customer communication (f), or consent for optional additional features (a).

3. Website access and hosting

Accessing the site sends necessary connection data, such as your IP address, time, requested URL and browser or device information, to the hosting infrastructure for delivery, troubleshooting and protection against abuse. The main website is provided through Sites (OpenAI) using Cloudflare infrastructure; the shop runs on Wix. Images and fonts on the main site are served from the same website. We have not embedded Google Analytics, Meta Pixel or other advertising tracking scripts in the main website. This does not describe external sites you visit through links.

4. Enquiry form and email

The main website loads its form only after you select “Open enquiry form”. This connects to Wix, which stores a technical visitor identifier in your browser’s local storage to operate the form. You can remove it by clearing the site data in your browser. Clearing local data does not delete an enquiry already submitted to us.

When you submit the form, we receive the information you enter, such as your name, company, email address, selected finish, quantity and message. Wix processes and stores the submission for us. We use it to respond and prepare a quotation. Required fields are marked. You may also contact us by email or telephone. We use Microsoft 365 for email communication. An enquiry does not automatically subscribe you to a newsletter.

5. Shop, orders and newsletter

The shop operates on Wix. Orders require contact, billing, shipping and order information. A customer account you choose to create helps manage your purchases. Depending on your chosen payment method, payment data is processed by the provider displayed at checkout. Delivery information is shared with the carrier used for your shipment. Their own processing is also governed by their privacy notices.

If you subscribe through the shop’s newsletter form, we use the information provided to send the requested updates. You can withdraw consent through the unsubscribe link or by contacting us. Wix also processes technical usage and security data to operate the shop. The shop’s cookie and consent settings apply separately to shop.sylvara.ch.

6. Cookies and browser storage

We have not embedded advertising or analytics cookies in the main website. The delivery infrastructure may set security cookies, including Cloudflare’s “__cf_bm” to detect automated abusive access. Cloudflare states that this cookie expires after 30 minutes of continuous inactivity. Opening the form explicitly stores the Wix identifier described in section 4. Text entered into the animated notebook preview stays in your browser; entering preview text does not submit an enquiry.

You can delete or block cookies and site storage in your browser. This can affect forms, carts and sign-in features. The provider links below explain Wix cookies.

7. Recipients and international processing

Data is accessed by the people handling your request at MyCrowd and the hosting, form, communication, payment and shipping providers used for the relevant purpose. Sites/Cloudflare infrastructure may involve processing in the United States. Wix.com Ltd. is based in Israel and lists data centres in the United States and Ireland for storage. Microsoft 365 is provided through the Microsoft group; depending on the service and configuration, processing outside Switzerland, including in the EU and United States, may occur.

Transfers to countries without recognised adequate protection require appropriate safeguards, such as recognised standard contractual clauses, or a statutory exception. The providers explain their transfer mechanisms and subprocessors in the information linked below. You can ask us about the recipients and safeguards specifically applicable to your data.

8. Retention

Retention depends on purpose. Enquiries are needed to handle and follow up your request; contractual and accounting records are also subject to statutory retention obligations. Data may be needed longer to establish, exercise or defend legitimate claims. Once the purpose no longer applies and no retention obligation or other permissible basis remains, data is to be deleted or anonymised. Technical logs and security data are subject to the respective provider’s service and security settings. There is no single one-month deletion period for all these different records.

9. Your rights and contact

Within the applicable legal limits, you may request access, correction, release or transfer of your personal data and deletion or restriction of unlawful processing. Consent can be withdrawn for the future; statutory retention obligations remain applicable. Where the GDPR applies, you also have its additional rights, including objection and complaint to a competent supervisory authority.

Contact info@mycrowd.ch. Appropriate identity verification may be necessary to protect your data. The competent Swiss authority is the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
